Our courses are regularly updated according to what local businesses and employers tell us is necessary in the workplace. we also plan our courses according to students feedback - both for recreational and job search purposes.
We deliberately keep our classes small withdedicated teachers thus producing excellent results.
Level 1 Award in Computerised Accounts – The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to operate computerised accounts software to carry out routine accounting tasks. These will include being able to create accounts, processing accounting information in respect of the sales and purchase ledger, understanding how to use batch control sheets and being able to produce
accounting reports such as trial balance, customer activity reports and supplier details reports.
Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounts - The aim of the qualification is to enable learners to carry out every day operational aspects of computerised accounts. These include processing accounting transactions, producing customer and supplier documentation and producing reports such as aged creditor analysis and sales daybook summaries for management purposes.
Level 2 Award in Occupational Studies for the Workplace – The qualification is intended to be accessible to a wide range of learners of all abilities. Learners can develop a more ‘hands on’ approach to their learning and gain practical skills, knowledge and understanding in their chosen vocational area(s). The
skills, knowledge and understanding gained may help learners prepare for work through real or simulated work situations and may contribute to preparing them for
working life beyond education.
Entry Level 3 Essential Digital Skills – The purpose of this qualification is to allow learners to demonstrate understanding of and competency in the essential digital skills they need for life. It will enable learners to engage with digital services and products in everyday life.
Level 1 Essential Digital Skills – This qualification aims to focus on the study of digital skills and offer breadth and
depth of study, incorporating a key core of knowledge and skills as well as provide opportunities to acquire a number of essential digital skills.
Level 3 Award in Education and Training – The qualification provides an introduction to teaching and aims to meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as:
▪ individuals not currently in a teaching or training role
▪ individuals currently teaching and training (including those who have just
begun teaching and training)
▪ individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification
that provides an introduction to teaching.
Public Speaking – This course will provide delegates with the in-depth knowledge required to understand the concept of public speaking in various circumstances. This course will help delegates get familiar with facing the fear of public speaking and provide them with the knowledge and skills to build confidence among people. This course will assist individuals in enhancing their Public Speaking skills that will result in their better
career advancement. This course also includes an exam that will help the delegates to test and establish their Public Speaking skills and speaker confidently in front of large gatherings.
NCFE CACHE Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner – We offer this qualification to individuals working in the early years setting and work closely with local Schools and Nurseries. We organise regular childcare classes where the students build up a knowledge base of childcare 0-7 years and practical work in a workplace which covers 0-5 years. This is a good starter course and a qualified person can be recognised as an Assistant in the classroom.
Our qualified Assessors organise placement, 1:1 Feedback and planning sessions for each individual student.
The Assessor will work with the student to build a portfolio and plan his/her observations in the workplace. Comprehensive feedback is given which is linked to the standards. This qualification can lead into EYE level 3 (Early Years Educator).
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) – To join this course Students are required to be currently employed in the childcare Sector. Vista Education & Training offers tutorials, 1:1 feedback and planning sessions with one of our qualified Assessors. Students will build up knowledge of all aspects of childcare ages 0-7 years. Practical work in the workplace covers 0-5 years.
Assessors work together with the student to build a portfolio of knowledge in all areas of childcare linked to all current Government and Ofsted requirements and legislation. Assessors go into the workplace to observe each student. This gives the student an opportunity to show professional growth.
Students will also be supported to produce a Longitudinal Study using a range of methods over a period of time such as planning, observing and assessing a child’s development and an evaluation of the outcomes.
This year, 2015-2016, we are offering government loans for the 24 plus students. This is a new programme which entitles the approved student to a loan which covers the
cost of the full course, to be paid back after the qualification has been completed and the student has secured employment with a salary over £21,000 per annum.
